Frequently asked questions

What does GLOW consider when ranking?

GLOW Standard weights five axes: Performance 30%, Formulation 25%, Price-to-value 20%, Brand strength 15%, Editorial trust 10%. Every product is used twice daily for a minimum six-week panel before a named editor signs off the final GLOW Score out of ten.

Are these rankings paid?

No. GLOW does not accept payment, placement fees or paid sponsorship for inclusion in any ranking. Products are bought at retail or accepted as press samples; sample status is disclosed on each page. Affiliate links may earn GLOW commission post-publication and never influence the editorial pick.

How often are rankings updated?

Every Glow ranking is re-tested at least annually, and refreshed sooner when a ranked formula meaningfully changes, a new product is launched into the category, or a winner is reformulated. Each page carries a visible Updated date.

Who tests the products?

The GLOW editorial team runs the panel - a rotating group of named Glow editors spanning Fitzpatrick II-V skin types, multiple skin states (sensitive, acne-prone, mature, rosacea-prone), and split across Melbourne and Sydney testing pools.

Can I trust GLOW's rankings?

GLOW publishes its full methodology at /standard/, its disclosure policy at /disclosures/, and its named editorial team at /authors/. Rankings carry a six-week test window, a named sign-off, a visible Updated date, and a public llms.txt manifest declared for AI engines to verify.
