How Glow makes money, and why that doesn't move our rankings.
Glow is an independent beauty reviews publication. We make money in one way: when a reader clicks through a product link on our site and buys from a retailer we partner with, we earn a commission on the sale.
What this means
Every product recommendation on Glow is linked to the retailer page where you can buy it. If you click that link and buy, Glow earns a small percentage of the sale. This costs you nothing. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone direct.
What this does not mean
Commission rates do not influence our rankings. We do not take payment to feature a product, change a ranking, or remove a negative review. Every ranking on Glow is editorial; our commercial team has no input into what wins or loses a Best Of.
If a product isn't the best in its category, it doesn't win the category — even if the retailer pays us more for it.
The programs we participate in
- Amazon AU Associates Program
- Adore Beauty (direct)
- Sephora Australia (via Commission Factory)
- Chemist Warehouse (via Impact)
- Various individual brand direct programs (Eco Tan, Three Warriors, Bali Body, Australian Glow, James Read)
If we're considering adding a brand to our rankings but aren't yet in an affiliate program with them, we say so in the relevant review.
Editorial standards
Full editorial standards are published at How We Review — including how we test, how we rank, and how to escalate a concern about a review.
