La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+

The SPF stays. Always. Non-negotiable through every season. But the winter version can be heavier (UVMune 400 Hydrating Cream instead of the Fluid).

"I'd been buying the wrong self-tan for three years. I found Glow, followed the Best Self Tan ranking, and the third one I tried was the one. Saved me weeks of guessing."

Common questions

What should I drop end of summer?

Heavy oil-control products, aggressive exfoliants, and gel moisturisers if your skin is showing dryness.

What should I add autumn-into-winter?

Retinol (if tolerable), night oil, richer moisturiser, barrier-repair products.

Should I still wear SPF in autumn?

Yes. UV exposure drops ~30% in winter but UVA is year-round. Daily SPF always.
