The brand
The British LED brand owning the whole ecosystem — not just the face mask. Skin LED Mask Series 2, Neck & Dec Perfector, Hair Growth Helmet, all on the same wavelength science.
CurrentBody started in 2009 as a Manchester-based retailer of at-home beauty devices, founded by Andrew Showman and Laurence Newman. The original premise was distribution — they sold the early LED, microcurrent and IPL devices other brands were making.
The pivot came around 2019, when the team launched their own LED line. Five years on, the CurrentBody Skin brand owns the LED face mask, the LED neck mask, the LED hair regrowth helmet — and the brand-channel-Skin-Mask category most competitors haven’t followed into.
In Australia, CurrentBody sells direct at currentbody.com.au (the smart route — bundle pricing, full warranty) plus Adore Beauty and limited MECCA Cosmetica.
The category
Most LED brands sell one device. CurrentBody Skin sells four — face, neck, hand, hair — all on the same wavelength science.
The three to buy
One flagship face mask, one neck device, one hair regrowth helmet. The vertical case for owning the ecosystem.

The proof
Real users on the CurrentBody Skin protocol — 10-minute daily sessions, the at-home device that’s become a routine.
The verdict
CurrentBody built a vertically-integrated LED ecosystem out of Manchester — the Skin Mask Series 2 is the closest cross-channel competitor to Omnilux at the same price tier, and the brand owns hair, neck and body LED categories most competitors haven’t reached.
