How to choose a brow + lash specialist.
Brow lamination or microblading?
Lamination first. It's $80-150, lasts six weeks, fully reversible. Microblading is $600-1200, lasts 18 months, and bad microblading is hard to fix. Try lamination for two cycles before you commit to anything semi-permanent.
How do I find a good brow specialist?
Look at their before-and-after grid. Look for variety — different face shapes, different brow starting points, different age groups. Specialists who only post identical fluffy brows are doing one trick, not custom work.
What about lash extensions?
Russian volume lasts longer than classic; classic looks more natural. Either way, the discriminator is retention — good extensions stay on for three weeks; bad ones shed in five days. Ask the studio's average retention rate. If they don't track it, they're not professional.
Lash lift vs. extensions?
Lash lift if your lashes are long enough already — cheaper, lower-maintenance, lasts six weeks. Extensions if your lashes are short or sparse, but commit to fortnightly fills to keep them looking right.
