THE CLINIC · NEW PROFILE

Dermaq, edited.

South Yarra and Port Melbourne. AHPRA-registered nurse injectors. A narrow menu, deeply specialised.

A new entry in The Glow List. We've been hearing good things about Dermaq from inside the industry — what's verifiable is a tight, injectables-led practice across two Melbourne addresses, a complimentary consult model, and a publicly stated preference for restraint over volume. Provisional Glow Score, opened June 2026; we will lift or trim it on the next visit cycle.

Inside Dermaq Aesthetics — clinic interior, Melbourne

The clinic

A nurse-led injectables practice, run narrow on purpose.

Most South Yarra cosmetic clinics try to do everything — laser, peels, dermal therapy, injectables, threads, body. Dermaq has chosen to do less. The clinic is an injectables-led practice that has deliberately kept its menu around face work, regenerative pathways, and skin quality.

Dermaq operates two Melbourne locations. The flagship is Shop 4, 7 Yarra Street, South Yarra — one minute from South Yarra Station, in the Chapel Street precinct. The second clinic, at 457 Graham Street, Port Melbourne, opened more recently and serves the Bayside catchment with on-site free parking. Both clinics run the same menu and the same standard.

The practitioners are AHPRA-registered nurses. The product list is TGA-approved. The consultation model is what the clinic calls "obligation-free": a complimentary 15–30 minute appointment, with walk-ins welcomed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The house position, stated publicly, is that the team will turn away patients requesting work that doesn't suit their features — restraint as policy rather than as language.

What we couldn't verify in time for opening this profile: we have not yet matched named practitioners to AHPRA registration numbers, and we have not yet visited either clinic in person. The Glow Score here is provisional pending that work.

In plain facts

The three to book

Where the menu actually lives.

An injectables-led practice with a clear hero category, a regenerative pathway, and a skin-quality protocol. Restraint over volume is the stated house position.

Dermaq facial contouring — dermal filler for cheeks, jaw, chin

01 — Face work

Dermal filler & facial contouring

Lip enhancement, cheek and jawline definition, chin contouring. Cannula-led technique where appropriate — typically less bruising and a more natural distribution than needle-only work. TGA-approved product list. Stated default position: under-treat rather than over-treat.

Rejuran polynucleotide skin regeneration at Dermaq

02 — Regenerative

Rejuran & bio-stimulating injectables

Polynucleotide skin regeneration (Rejuran) and bio-stimulating injectables aimed at skin quality — barrier, texture, and underlying structure — rather than volume. The regenerative pathway is the clinic's stated alternative to chasing surface results with more filler.

SkinPen microneedling at Dermaq

03 — Skin quality

SkinPen microneedling & skin boosting

SkinPen microneedling for texture, scarring, and collagen stimulus; skin-boosting injectables for hydration and surface quality. The third pillar of the menu — what the clinic uses when the answer is not anti-wrinkle, and not volume.

The verdict · Provisional

A narrow menu, done well, is worth more than a broad menu done averagely.

Methodology

How Glow selects featured clinics.

Six structural checks before a clinic enters The Glow List. The Score is provisional on first publication and lifts or trims on subsequent visits. No clinic pays for placement. Brands cannot see scores before publication.

  • Practitioner credentiallingAHPRA registration verified for nurse injectors; AHPRA + specialist registration verified for doctors. Anonymous staff are not counted.
  • Device & product authenticityTGA-listed devices and ARTG-registered products only. Generic-IPL-as-BBL substitution is flagged.
  • Consent & consult modelWritten consent, written treatment plan, and a documented complications pathway. Same-day-treatment-no-consult models score lower.
  • Price transparencyPublic price list or published tier band. Quote-on-call-only models score lower for transparency.
  • Aftercare protocolDocumented post-treatment instructions, a stated review interval, and an out-of-hours contact path.
  • Editorial independenceNo commercial relationship between The Glow and the clinic at time of publishing. No paid placement, no kickbacks, no comp-treatment-for-score.

Questions, answered

The questions readers ask.

Where is Dermaq located?
Two Melbourne clinics. South Yarra flagship at Shop 4, 7 Yarra Street, one minute from South Yarra Station. Port Melbourne at 457 Graham Street, with free on-site parking. Both run the same menu and the same consult model.
Who performs the treatments?
AHPRA-registered nurse injectors. We have not yet matched named practitioners to AHPRA registration numbers; the Glow Score will firm up once we have.
What does Dermaq do, exactly?
Injectables-led practice: anti-wrinkle, dermal filler (lips, cheeks, jaw, chin), Rejuran polynucleotide regeneration, SkinPen microneedling, bio-stimulating injectables, skin boosting, PRP/PRF, chemical peels, PDO threads, and fat-reduction body contouring. Not a laser-and-everything clinic.
Does Dermaq do laser?
Laser is not the hero category. The skin-quality menu runs through SkinPen microneedling, Rejuran, peels and skin-boosting injectables instead. If you specifically need BBL or fractional CO₂, our Melbourne directory points you to clinics built around those platforms.
How much does Dermaq cost?
South Yarra and Bayside pricing — the $$$ tier for an inner-Melbourne nurse-injector practice. Consultations are complimentary and run 15–30 minutes with no obligation to book treatment.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. All injectable treatments are preceded by a medical assessment. The consult itself is free, with walk-ins welcomed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at both locations.
How do I book?
Online via dermaq.co/book, phone 1800 DERMAQ, or email [email protected]. The same booking flow serves both clinics.
Why is the Glow Score provisional?
Dermaq is a new entry in The Glow List, opened June 2026. The provisional score is calibrated on publicly verifiable credentialling, treatment menu and consult model. It will firm up once we complete an in-person visit cycle and named-practitioner AHPRA verification.
