What are peptides?

Short amino-acid chains that signal skin to produce more collagen. The gentlest of the anti-ageing actives.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids. In skincare, they act as signalling molecules — telling skin cells to increase collagen production, improve elasticity, or reduce inflammation.

Much gentler than retinol. Can be used daily without irritation. Suitable for sensitive skin and pregnancy.

Results take 8-12 weeks of consistent use. More subtle than retinol but cumulative.

The method

01.

Layer safely

Peptides work with retinol, vitamin C, and most actives.

Apply serum after cleansing, before moisturiser.

02.

Look for multi-peptide formulas

Single-peptide products rarely deliver visible results.

Multi-peptide formulas (3-5+ peptides) cover multiple skin functions.

03.

Patience required

Don't expect retinol-speed results. Peptides are cumulative and gradual.

12+ weeks is when skin firmness and fine line reduction show.

Depends on your skin and concentration. Start 2-3x/week, build up.
