The verdict

The makeup brand with the most consistently premium formulas.

Charlotte Tilbury's pitch — a celebrity MUA bringing pro-level formulas to consumer retail — is still the brand's truth. The formulas are premium-quality across the board. The marketing tax is real ($72 for Flawless Filter is a lot), but the experience earns it. Flawless Filter, Pillow Talk, and Beauty Light Wand are category-definers. Hot Lips collection is less compelling. Packaging is unapologetically luxe.

What they do right

  • Flawless Filter is category-defining
  • Pillow Talk shades are universal
  • Makeup-artist-backed formulation
  • Premium packaging/sensory experience

What to know

  • Premium pricing across range
  • Hot Lips range is hit-or-miss
  • Limited inclusive shade expansion in some lines

"The retinol ranking is the only skincare thing I've bookmarked. Every time I see a new product launch I check here first."
