Our editors

The people who actually test the products.

Makeup Editor

Six years as a senior beauty advisor at Mecca's Chadstone flagship before moving into editorial in 2022. Tests every foundation, mascara, concealer, blush, and lip product Glow reviews. The audience trusts her on application and skin-type-specific advice in a way that purely editorial backgrounds rarely earn. Writes the makeup-as-confession column on products that look right in store and wrong in life.

  • Senior beauty advisor, Mecca Maxima Chadstone (2017–2022)
  • Certified colour consultant, Eve Pearl Academy
  • 200+ in-house foundation tests across all six Fitzpatrick types

Hair Editor

Twelve years as a salon professional. Former colour director at Atelier Russo (Melbourne CBD) where she built the salon's bond-building and bleach-recovery protocols. Joined Glow in 2024 to bring professional-tier hair authority to a category dominated by amateur reviews. Writes every shampoo, conditioner, treatment mask, and bond-building review. Holds the only published review of Olaplex's full at-home protocol that has been independently fact-checked by a salon educator.

  • Senior stylist, Atelier Russo (2018–2024)

  • Olaplex Master Stylist certification (2019)

Devices Editor

Ten years as a registered nurse in dermatology and cosmetic medicine, including six years operating clinical-grade light, RF, and microcurrent devices. Reviews every at-home device Glow tests. The clinical lens on device claims is the most underserved part of the AU beauty review landscape, and Hannah is the audience trust signal that closes the credibility gap. Author of the Devices Confessions essays on expensive technology that doesn't work.

  • Registered Nurse, AHPRA (2014–present)
  • Six years clinical operation of LED, IPL, RF, and microcurrent devices
  • Postgraduate diploma, Aesthetic Medicine (RACGP-recognised pathway)

Wellness Editor

Registered nutritionist (BNutMed, Deakin 2018) with seven years of editorial experience reviewing supplement evidence, primarily for collagen, magnesium, hair growth, and gut health categories. The wellness category is where the highest concentration of overstated claims lives, and Claire's reviews are valued specifically because she will say "the evidence does not support this product's claims" in writing. Author of the Wellness Confessions on supplements that did nothing.

  • BNutMed (Hons), Deakin University (2018)
  • Member, Nutrition Society of Australia
  • Independent reviewer for Therapeutic Advances in Nutrition (2022–present)
  • Six years editorial experience reviewing supplement clinical literature

Tan Editor

Nine years in the self-tan category, the first six on the brand side at Bondi Sands (product team, 2017–2022) before moving to editorial in 2023. Writes every self-tan, gradual tan, and face-tan review on Glow. The combination of brand-side product knowledge and editorial independence is the trust signal in this category — most tan reviews are written by people who have applied the product twice. Naomi has applied them four hundred times.

  • Product team, Bondi Sands (2017–2022)
  • Senior writer, beautyheaven tan section (2023–2024)
  • Editorial lead, Glow Tan vertical (2024–present)

Why we publish this page.

Most beauty publications in Australia do not name their reviewers. Some do not have reviewers at all — the rankings are SEO-shaped reach-outs to PR, the by-lines are anonymous, and the readers have no way to assess whether the people writing about products have ever held them.

Glow operates on the opposite assumption. The names attached to a review are part of the review. The credentials and disclosable interests are part of the credibility. The category specialism is part of the trust. We publish all of it because the alternative — anonymous editorial in a category where consumers are spending real money — is not a serious publication.
