How we work.

Glow earns revenue from affiliate commission when readers buy through our product links. That's it. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or payment to change a ranking. A brand's commission rate does not affect whether or where it appears on the site.

The test

Every product ranked on Glow has been tested by a Glow editor on real skin, over a real period of time (minimum two weeks for skincare, four weeks for devices, eight weeks for supplements). We do not rank products based on press-release claims alone.

The scoring

Products are scored out of 10 across five weighted dimensions: performance against its own claims, finish or subjective quality, wear time, formula/ingredient quality, and value relative to the category. Weightings vary by category.

The updates

Rankings are reviewed every six months. Products can move up or down. If a formula changes, we re-test and re-rank. The page timestamp reflects the most recent audit.

The editorial line

We will not rank a product that isn't available in Australia, has had more than one recall in five years, or is subject to active ACCC cases around deceptive marketing. If you're a brand or reader with a concern, email [email protected].
